Once one of the most populated and beloved cities in the country, Detroit remains a virtual ghost town. As the automotive industry hangs in the balance, the city plunges even farther into an economic abyss. From expansive foreclosures to streets checkered with burned remains of what was, the city stands as a reminder of all that has gone so terribly wrong with bigger, better and faster. Project Detroit makes the connection between the weakened housing market, a failing automotive industry, and the people who have been affected the most along the way. The images attempt to look past the overarching economic crisis of the entire country, to focus on the crumbling foundation that the city was built upon.

During my 90 days journey into the West Bank I depict a portrait of a society at the mercer of another country. Drawn into their life thanks to their amazing sense of ospitality i have been able to gain access to incredible stories of beauty and pain.
